I grew up in a conservative California beach town. It was beautiful, people were friendly, and the weather was an annual average of 75 and sunny. Somehow that wasn't quite enough. I left my little town at 18 and hopped around the world, loving the thrill of settling down someplace new, and finding the best that particular place had to offer. I've been to every continent, and lived in 4 countries, and no place has managed to maintain my excitement level the way The Big Apple has. You could play tourist here every night for years, and never run out of new shows to see, new restos to try, exhibits to visit...I want to shutdown my laptop just thinking about it.
This page is my little (work in progress) guide to New York. Whether you're in town on business and too busy to research, or a native New Yorker just interested in seeing how our tastes align, this page is for you.

Culture
Cinema Angelika Cinema - Sometimes I go to Angelika without watching any trailers or looking up reviews. Their selection is just that good.
Ballet New York City Ballet - Needs no introduction.
Jazz at Lincoln center. Cocktails and a view with a great live soundtrack.
Sports Knicks, Nets, Rangers - your team is my team…unless we’re talking NFL, in which case my heart belongs to the Packers (Go Pack).
